Pumpkin week! Book ideas!

For pumpkin week the following books are some ideas on what to use for your tot school! I only got a few as my library has a limit of 3 items that are deemed seasonal books, so I was slightly limited! BUT, I plan on finding a couple of books on YouTube as well! That's always a great alternative if you can't get a hold of a book!

Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins by [Dean, James]
Pete the Cat: Five Little Pumpkins by James Dean. Pete the Cat is all the rage in my house right now, unfortunately, our library didn't have this book!


Duck & Goose Find a Pumpkin by Tad Hills. I really wanted this book, but my library didn't have this one either. We'll be Youtubing this one if I can find it!


It's Pumpkin Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond. I love this author!




The Pumpkin Book by Gail Gibbons is a nonfiction book about the growth cycle of a pumpkin. I got this book for my older boy so he could also be included!



Five Little Pumpkins by Dan Yaccarino. This one I will also have to find on YouTube as the copy of this my library had, had been checked out :(


Plumply, Dumply Pumpkin by Mary Serfanzo and illustrated by Valeria Petrone.


And you can't have a pumpkin week without....


It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown by Charles Schulz!

I hope enjoy the few book ideas I found! I will have some crafts, movies, and sensory activities as the week goes on! Stay spooky! :)

Make it Monday-Rain Crafts

Today was Make it Monday! We made some rain crafts that were quick, easy, and required little supplies. I chose to do this during nap-time for the 2-year-old as he hasn't liked doing any crafts that don't require making a mess (haha, can anyone relate?!) And I wanted something quick--it was definitely a case of the Mondays here! We did two crafts. One was an umbrella and the other was a cloud and rainbow. Craft #1. Umbrella with raindrops! Supplies : Craft/Popsicle stick Construction paper or cardstock String (I used thread)  Glue Embellishments or markers to decorate the umbrella Scissors Steps: I free handed the umbrella and rain drops onto some construction paper (you could absolutely print a template online and trace them onto the paper) I let my 5-year-old cut the umbrella out to practice his cutting skills (fine motor skills.) Summer bucket list!

So with Memorial Day coming up next week (I know, I don't believe it either!) I've been making a summer bucket list to do with the kiddos! We are a one car family so most of the items will be done in the evenings or weekends. I will,however, have the car two weeks out of the summer while my husband is away at his annual training, so that will give me more of an opportunity to do some of these fun activities! These are just some ideas I have currently, there will likely be more added!
